Bunny Hopping Food Mines...

Monday, April 01, 2013

Today was Easter, one of my absolute favorite celebrations. What an amazing day to reflect on all of Jesus' life and works...and to think I normally spend it eating myself miserable! emoticon

Not this year! Despite after church buffet, plus Easter candy galore and an enormous family food extravaganza I managed to avoid the minefield of chocolate in front of me (as well as the homemade ravioli, five layer dip &chips, steak-wrapped eggs....well you get the point! Basically it was this food addicts dream!) emoticon

Case in point my wonderful son

I was not perfect, I had myself a sugar cookie/fruit pizza...but only 1 which is sooooo one for the books. I also indulged in two chocolate covered strawberries. emoticon

BUT

I indulged no further and still ate in range for the day! emoticon

My most recent motto--Perfection is not as important as persistence! emoticon

Happy Easter everyone & God Bless!

Good for you...another suggested motto to add to yours--strive for excellence, not perfection!

Awesome! Good job girlie!! I am so proud of you girlie for doing such an awesome job keeping your eye on the prize emoticon You are rockin' it girl.

We always do big celebrations around here too. I am quite amazed I told the family no chips or junky food and they all went with it. We made a bigger fruit and veggie tray in replace of the junky foods. I stayed within goal range today too. I didn't get over stuffed which felt great. It was nice not having the feeling of falling into a food coma this year.

Keep up the hard work lady! We can do this! emoticon emoticon

Yay! You are making change happen! I love your motto (mine is "Strive for progress, not perfection!") We just returned from a nice vacation (and too much yummy food!) so I've got to get back at it!
