March Goals - final update

Sunday, March 31, 2013 I normally say to my kids each time I reach my daily walking goal....


Woohoooo!!!! I reached one of my goals for the month of March! Yes, that means I did not reach all of my goals, but I did reach one of them...and it was challenging!

From the beginning of the month, here are the goals I set:

1. 10,000 steps every day. That's 310,000 steps in the month.
2. 20 minutes of Pilates every day.
3. 10,000 kettlebell swings in the month.
4. Plus one more that was focused on my food. Still tweaking this one...

Well.....I really did great the first two weeks of the month. I was making good progress and was on target to reach my goals by the end of the month. Then, I got strep and was out of commission for about 6 days. That shot my second goal right off the bat, since that goal was a daily commitment. I was so far behind on both my steps and kettlebells that I had to just decide what I could do to accomplish one or the other. So, I decided to go for the steps and move the kettlebells to next month's list again.

Thankfully, this week I've been off work all week to be home with my kids for Spring Break. That gave me extra time to devote to walking, walking, walking. I had a couple of days of 20,000+ steps and went on many walks with my kids. I reached my goal just a few minutes ago of 310,000 steps for the month! I am so so so excited and pleased with my accomplishment.

Now.....on to setting April's goals! emoticon
