Our day began by attending a sunrise Easter service at Lizard Butte. I even got a cardio burst out of it as we trekked up the hillside! We were thankful for our blankets, but it was a beautiful blue, cloudless sky once the sun rose.
The cross at the top of the hill was lit brightly as we drove there in the dark and took our places on the hillside. I guess during the service two "angels" stood at the cross all lit up as well, but I didn't realize I needed to look behind me!
Afterwards we went to Shari's for breakfast and then came home. We made the kids wait until 11 to start the treasure hunt so the whole day wasn't finished by 10! Tim took them to the park while I hid clues, the treasure and strung empty plastic eggs everywhere. The kids had a great time and they enjoyed their treasure. Isaac got a Lego Star Wars book and Maegann received a $20 e-gift card for Build-a-Bear.
Tim went and got my dad about 1pm and he spent several hours with us just hanging out. I played Uno Spin with Maegann and got things ready for our pizza supper. Now the kids are outside playing for awhile and then we'll watch "The Apple Dumpling Gang Returns" before bed.
Tomorrow is back to the routine... homeschool co-op. I am excited to see what classes the kids/moms are interested in being offered next year as we also have that sign-up going tomorrow. I don't believe there is anything else on the calendar for Monday so once we're home, we're home.
