More exercise helps me keep from being isolated, frustrated

I have started to look for a new job. It won't be easy, but I am prone to depression as is, so I have to stave off recurrences of this feeling through any positive means at my disposal. The other day, I started to feel my thoughts racing, so I went outside for a walk, and it did help calm me down a bit. The breeze, and seeing other people coming and going, helped make a difference.

Yesterday, I exercised three times. Three! :) That's a lot for me. My usual time is once every other day. I don't know if I'll be able to go out three times every day, but it was good to get a big push. I went to the gym Saturday morning and did a walk on the treadmill. Then I ran a couple errands, and after that, I stopped at a local college campus and played racquetball for a little while. There were a couple people doing a tennis lesson at the courts across from the racquetball area. The coach was yelling a little. Oops. :) When I was done with that, I went home for a bit, and then took a walk again.

So every day may be different - and that will be good. One day I'll make 60 minutes of total workouts. Another, it may be 25. But anything positive goes in the Win column. :)

    I'm also prone to depression, and I find my walks with my dogs help keep my feelings from getting too overwhelming.
