Have a Blessed Easter Everyone!

Sunday, March 31, 2013

My day got started bright and early at 6am. Mass was at 8am, so I had to get everyone up and dressed early to make the commute. We haven't always done the Easter Bunny, so the kids didn't even look for the baskets I hid. I didn't actually hide them, they were pretty much in plain sight. The kids were just too tired to notice. Once they found them, they were very excited. I had gotten them new soccer balls, nerf football, frisbees, and sidewalk chalk. Yes, I'm anxious for the weather to warm up to get outside more.

After mass there was an egg hunt at church. I had to laugh. The sisters blew a whistle to get the kids' attention, and all the kids thought that was the start whistle. They rounded up the kids three times before they got a "fair" start for everyone. My mom was nice enough to make us brunch after that and we had a very nice visit with them. Hubby and I brought filled plastic eggs to hide for another hunt. My mom and dad enjoyed that too. We usually spend Easter with Hubby's family so the kids can play with their cousins. It was really nice to see my mom and dad this Easter.

It's been a very Blessed day for me. I hope all of you are having a wonderful Easter day as well. God bless.
