Good Morning and Happy Easter to all!
I still haven't told my almost 9 year old the easter bunny doesn't exsist, I think she will soon find out but when I see the hurt in her eyes when she looks at me and says my brother says the easter bunny isn't real, and why have you been lying to me all these years. I just don't know where to begin. So I put together a cute little basket and told her there were so many babies born this year the easter bunny was unprepared to make baskets for so many children. Also that in the next couple years he's going to need young helpers to help fill the baskets for the smaller children and the older children will no longer be getting big baskets of easter surprises.
She knows why we celebrate easter, the true meaning but, she really hasn't ever questioned the easter bunny before. I kinda feel bad, but she's just getting too old for fairy tales. She's one of those true believers of all things good, tall tales and love at first sight.....She's a dreamer and I love her for it.
For easter I think we should go out to easter lunch and head to my mother's house for an easter egg hunt for the kids. Perhaps we can chat for a while and then back home again.
On the diet end of it I no longer feel the urge to eat uncontrollably or snack late at night. The easter bunny didn't leave me any candy and I couldn't be happier about it. I'm only 5lbs away from hitting the 180's which is really amazing. I haven't seen that in 10 years. I might even pass out when I get there from excitement.
I wish you all the best easter and to all be blessed by our ever forgiving man upstairs.
