everyone! Today is a new beginning. Let's think about this... Its not a new year, its not Christmas, or any other holiday, its Easter, when Jesus rose from his Grave. Its a time for celebration because He died for us so that we may live.
With that in mind, I plan to start a new. Refresh myself. Spring
is here, and while we do spring cleaning to our homes, we need to do spring cleaning to our bodies as well. So, that is something I am going to start working on. Slowly I want to wean myself off of sugary foods and diet sodas. I want to start eating fresher healthier foods. Spring Clean my body. Now, while I had 8oz of Mountain Dew this morning, and a protein bar that had some sugar in it, I know it will take one day and one step at a time.
This week is Spring Break and I hope that it doesn't rain all week (though with the weather forecast, its supposed to off and on) but I want to take the kids to the park, and I want to walk the nice trails there.
So, I have been thinking...
Walk daily- when it isn't raining
Zumba or other DvDs when it does rain, and even when it isn't. I need the extra cardio
Relaxation Yoga in the evenings.
The most important thing for me though, is to take it ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!
This week, my goal is to start weaning off the sugary foods, and adding fruits and veggies in its place. Also I want to work on weaning off of sodas- My vice is Diet Pepsi and Diet Dr. Pepper. If I want a caffeine boost, I will start drinking more green/black tea and black coffee (yikes!).
Please pray for me, as I know through prayer and with the help of God, I can do this. My mind is set now.
