Back on plan, I decided to prepare waffles instead of steel-cut oatmeal for this Sunday holiday breakfast.

I started with 2 Kashi blueberry waffles, 150 calories, 6 g of fiber.

I measured 3/4 cup of Stoneyfield organic french vanilla lowfat yogurt and divided this, spooning it over the 2 waffles. 3/4 cup is 128 calories, 35% calcium, only 6-7g of protein, it wasn't greek yogurt, that would have had more protein in it.

I washed and sliced 3/4 cup of Organic strawberries, slicing them over the yogurt.
Vitamin C and antioxidants in berries...

I then counted out 4 walnut halves, only 4 and broke them up over the strawberries, more protein.

I measured 1 Tablespoon of Maple Grove Farms Organic 100% Maple Syrup and drizzled this over, dividing it over the two waffles.

This was a real treat this morning. It tasted more like a dessert to me, than breakfast. It is a "bestlife plan" breakfast. I am trying to feed myself better, more nutrients, more organic as and if I can afford to. A friend once told me if you have a limited budget when buying organic, "buy organic butter, buy organic strawberries."
