Every family is a smorgasbord of interesting characters. These are the unique pieces that make up the fabric of our lives. Each individual plays a role and helps to shape us into who we re as adults.
Maybe you have the eccentric one, who marches to the tune of their own ukulele.
The meddling one who seems to be everywhere all the time despite your best attempts.
The know it all who insists on telling you how things should be done.
The drama king/queen who makes mountains out of molehills.
The peacemaker who tries to hold the family together.
The black sheep who doesn't really firing.
I could go on for pages but I'm sure you get the point.
The thing is, we ALL deal with it. We all have these people in our lives and if we didn't, well we may have some peace, but we also would be missing a vital part of ourselves.
For every annoying personality, we also have the cheerleaders, the supporters, the listeners and the ones who make life better.
There are always two sides to the coin and while we are busy making judgements about our crazy family members, we may not realize just how we fit in and what roles we play.
As we celebrate today with Easter dinners and families. Take a moment to appreciate all you have. Tell your family you love them and be sure to count your blessings.
