Monthly Progress Report: April

I did my April measurements this morning (because I'm not about to do them on Monday before work!). Although I'm only four pounds lighter than I was on January 1st, I've lost 20.5 inches since then! I know that muscle weighs more than fat, but while I'm building muscle and burning fat I'd REALLY like to see the number on my scale move!!

From June 2011 to September 2012, I gained forty-seven pounds and my body fat percentage went from 17% to 57% (yeah... FIFTY-SEVEN!). I weigh nine pounds more right now than I did in September when I had my body fat tested, but I'm down from 57% fat mass to 40% fat mass, and that's encouraging.. Unfortunately, I'm still obese...

I have a long way to go to get back to the body I've always had, but I'm on my way, and still going strong with 3-4 workouts per week. I know that these numbers are horrific, but here they are.

This month I went on an eight or nine day insatiable binge and ate between 2,100-3,500 calories.. BUT, I maintained my weight which makes me think that MAYBE my metabolism is kicking it up a notch. I've been really stressed this past month, which may have influenced the binge. I went to my first therapy appointment this week, and I'm hopeful that going will help me pinpoint the root cause of my stress/depression/lack of motivation/whatever and help me get my life and my body back under control.
