I have been with SparkPeople for while now off and on. I am going to try to get back into it now because it is a big help and has many features that can benefit me.
So here I am. It's March 30th 2013. I have been doing Weight Wars with my boyfriend and my sister since January 7th, 2013. Weight wars is where we do a weekly weigh in and who ever loses the least of their body fat percentage for that week has to pay 25 dollars.
Since that began, i'm only down by about 1 pound. But the funny thing is, I know I look better since I started! I've been going to the gym and doing cardio and lifting weights. I can tell that my clothes are much looser and I feel and look better in them. But the strange thing is is that the scale is telling my I only lost a pound.
So i've been dwelling on the scale for awhile and got a bit mad/contrary for the last three weeks however I refuse to give up. I am happier with myself now and I also made a wise health choice on January 7th also where I decided to begin a gluten-free diet. It is going excellent for me.
So, even though I'm in a plateau right now I refuse to give up. I've decided to stop lifting the weights for now and focus fully on cardio. Very soon i'm going to begin sit-ups and backwards sit-ups to help get my core strength up. I have a big desire to get toned and be stronger however I am putting that on the back burner for now until I lose a large chunk of my body fat percentage (I have $25 a week on this!). Eventually though when I get my weight down I really want to get toned and fit. I not only desire to be skinny (Like I use to), I also want to have a fit body with curves, abs, and a nice lady bicep ;).
So i've been going to the gym for awhile now and I'm really excited to get some results and see some progress on the scale. This week sometime I might add some photos of myself as a judgement to see how far i've come. Maybe even to a video blog, hmm?
