Bariactric Sleeve Surgery : 2 months post-op

Saturday, March 30, 2013

As of yesterday, it has been 2 months post-op & I'm down -50 pounds already !!!
Things have been going rather smoothly so far.
I'm pretty used to eating the tiny portions & taking the vitamins throughout the day.
My clothing hangs on me (YAY) & I have energy all day long !!!

Having a bariatric surgery, for me, was the ultimate & personal decision on my journey to losing weight & finally reaching an ideal & healthy weight. I have tried for almost 27 years to lose my weight. Each & every year since I was 16 years old, I joined some kind of diet program. While "on" the program, I did lose weight BUT as soon as I was "off" or hit a plateau, I gained it all back plus extras. I guess you could say that over the years, I "dieted" my way UP the scale. So, after much research, at the age of 43, I finally decided to make this leap or die young. Too many health problems run in my family & I am doing everything in my power to prevent or at least delay them. Thankfully, as of today, I haven't had any health issues other than my knees hurt (not any more) & my lower back ache (not any more).

I will continue to post along my journey.
