Today I had gotten home from the gym and I was watching something on my computer. I had just had lunch so I knew I wasn't hungry, but I could feel that familiar feeling of wanting to binge. I made my way to the cupboard and grabbed a granola bar and some nuts. I ate them both and was about to go back for more when I realized that I would have to be honest about my intake on here. That if I were going to be a support system for all of you, and allow you to be a support system for me, I was going to have to try to practice what I preached and live the life I want to live.
So, I counted the calories for what I did eat, entered them in as part of my snacks and ran myself a bath. By the time I got out, the cravings were gone and I was super proud to share what had happened.
Next time I hope I'm able to even say no to the granola bar and nuts, but for this moment, I am proud I was able to turn everything around and realize I have more control than I thought I did.
