What are you focused on?

It seems, in the world today, that many people are worried about what other people are doing. It may not actually harm them, but for some reason they think it's their business to be in other's business.
I find that when people are so worried about what others are doing, they stop using their sense of personal responsibility for their own actions and simply start blaming others for their mistakes and attitudes. It becomes the "it's the ______'s fault." You may choose your own personal fill in the blank thing and that may change from time to time depending on the situation.
You need to decide on what is actually harming you and your body and decide if it's really worth expending the energy on things past your family unit. You also have to take the personal responsibility for any action you may put out in the world, whether it be something you did to your own body or something you did to your community.
The main focus of your life should be YOU! If you are not the way you want to be, then the world will not be what you want either. If you hate the thing you're doing, then you'll also hate the things the world is doing, but if you start to like yourself, then you can see past your perceived flaws of others.
Love takes less energy than hate. You'd be surprised, but love actually adds energy while hate absorbs energy. When you love yourself, then you have extra energy to give to not only yourself, but to others around you. When you pass on the love, then it just keeps growing and a peace evolves around the area making life easier to live.
So start by loving yourself and you will be able to start loving your family, then passing that love onto your neighbors.
