Panera's Hidden menu!

Saturday, March 30, 2013

My sister just told me about this. It is a list of 4 (or maybe 6) much more healthy choices for meals at Panera's.

Who knew! Chirs

I've never ate there, but if I do I now know about the hidden menu. Now hopefully I won't forget when I do go. Haha

Wow. Hiding the "healthy" items? That doesn't seem right. It almost makes me want to eat there less.

Thanks for sharing.

I wonder if it's hidden because it doesn't involve bread in any way, and bread is their mainstay. It would be nice to have nutrition info on it--nothing worse than chewing through a lousy salad only to discover that it had more calories, fat, and sodium than the burger you actually wanted!

I'm a professional Chef, My question is "why do they have to have a hidden menu"? Why make someone who wants to order healthy have to ask?
Wouldn't the business want to make that an option that everyone knows about?
Something doesn't make sense....

Thanks for sharing. It seems weird that they "hide" the healthy stuff! I'll have to remember this the next time I'm there.

Very interesting! I just saw on the news that they HAD a hidden menu, but didn't know the items. Next time we're near a Panera's, I want to try one of those! Thanks for sharing! emoticon emoticon

Thanks for sharing. I'll have to check to see what the calorie/nutrition breakdown is for these items. It wasn't listed with the menu items, but apparently available when you do more searching. Good info.

Thanks for posting that - it really helps when we have some idea before we go out to eat - what is reasonably healthy for us. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks Chris! Very timely helpful Hint for me!

A few of my female cousins have started to get together the 1st Saturday of the month for breakfast at Panera. I haven't gone, but will, I think in April. So I was excited to see these Breakfast options on the Hidden Menu. Just hope that the Panera they meet at, knows about this healthier off menu option!

Thanks for sharing! emoticon
