Congratulations! DAY 30 is here! Whoo hoo!

Saturday, March 30, 2013

Ladies, I am so proud of all of you!
For one you have helped ME to lose 3 pounds, ( the weight is coming off slower now but it is more consistent)...AND...the inches continue to come off!

I lost 3.2 pounds in the month of March
One inch gone from my waist.
1/4 inch gone from my hips
1/4 inch gone from my neck!!!
1 /14 inches gone from my calf, I guess the calf raises were working! lol
Upper arm I lost 1/2 inch
1/4 inch came off on my thigh ( upper)
The biggest change was the mid thigh measurement: 3 1/4 inches off! WOW!
Chest I only lost 1/4 inch , happy! :-)
Ribs I lost 1 1/2 inches
on the abdomen ( belly button ) I lost 3/4 of an inch

Anckle and knee measurements were the only ones that were the same....

Over all , that is a good result! What did it?
THIS CHALLENGE AND being accountable to all of you!
AND...discovering that my body does not do well with grains. ( Quinoa which is a seed, is good, I have not tested any others)

I look forward to the April Challenge to keep going with what I have in place already and to test other grains to increase veggies and fruit! AND LEAN PROTEIN!
Maybe...maybe I will find the means to buy "The Plan" book? I can only put it on my wish list and hope....

With Spring arriving for REAL now, I look forward to being more active, outdoors!!

so....LET ME KNOW how you did and what you thought of this challenge!

Thanks for all those who sent in pics! They were awesome!
Next challenge will be a little different, but much of the same!

Keep going and keep doing what works!

Next Challenge we are going to dig deeper! !

HUGS TO YOU ALL!

While I did not conquer all my goals, I did manage to continue my success of no soda. I did manage while not to eliminate all the white, I cut the white carbs at least in half.

I tried to coconut palm sugar and it is OK- but I still fall back to Equal. I know it is not the best, but I really dislike stevia. I like Truvia, but it is kind pricey compared to others.

I did get a little lacks at the end of the month, but I am holding my own.
Thanks Mel for all you do.

OK - my stats are not at all impressive - no change since mid-way point - other than the scale which has gone up. Maybe I'm not supposed to do the Intuitive thing - but I feel great and have become extremely aware of what I'm doing. Definitely going to rethink this - have a look at April's challenge and see what is going to be a more effective plan for me

I am very aware that I've been off-colour this month - nothing serious enough for a Doc, but niggles and Migraine, bit of blah-ness added to absent gym instructors ... hmm - pay attention!!

Thank you Nonie_C for keeping me going.

The tips were great as was the homework. While I didn't succeed completely as per the original replacement rules for this challenge, my personal goals were met.

I can't wait to start the next one and really see some results. See my blog for today for more details about the end of the challenge.

emoticon Great Job, Mel! Great job EVERYONE!!!

I am Sorry I dropped out of sight for a few days. Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my dad's passing and, unfortunately, my step-mom has chosen this time to stir up major drama in our family, causing everyone great pain and suffering at a time that is already very sad. I could be angry with her, because she's made me the focus of her negativity, but I'm facing this whole thing with love.

In other healthy news, I've been doing great with eating - no emotional binges, lots of meditating, and lots of good, positive, forward thought.

I am down 7 lbs, but I don't know how many inches I've shrunk b/c I can't find my measuring tape anywhere...darnit!
Regardless, I am beyond thrilled with these results and so incredibly encouraged for our next challenge. I never felt deprived during this challenge. The lack of sugar allowed my energy to equalize, which I believe help me make better choices. I loved the accountability and looked forward to checking in with you all each day. Plus, I was a super slacker on the exercise front this month, often doing only the bare minimum, so guess what that means for April?!?! Once I up the ante on exercise, I'm really gonna rock it!!!

Looking forward to an April of activity!!!
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!!!

Well done and congratulations for your leadership and
your results. This is the second time I am trying to write
this. How I hate these computer gremlins. I am away for
Easter and forgot to bring my measurements to compare.
I will measure and send them after I get back if that's OK.
I know I have lost around my waist and arms.`My weight is
now 81.7, so that is a loss of 2.6 kilos. I'm wrapped.

I overindulged a little today, but i am already back into my
routine. we are going to the beach tomorrow, so I will be
swimming it off. As my friend has a saltwater pool, I will get
up first thing in the morning and swim a few laps as well.
I can't wait for tomorrow's challenge. I hope you all had a
lovely Easter Day. I get to do this again on May 5th when
I celebrate orthodox Easter, so I have to work hard during
this challenge also. Thank you again for being such an
inspiration. emoticon emoticon emoticon

You are doing great! You can get started on The Plan by getting the menus off her website and on her FB there is tons of information! I'll be happy to answer any questions you have :)

My results for the challenge: lost 2.7 pounds and 4" overall and I am sooo close to goal :)
Looking forward to the April challenge!

Wow, you did really great. I haven't measured yet but I must say that I think I lost a few inches on my butt and tummy area as my pants seem to be looser. I am interested in the April Challenge and will go read your blog. The biggest thing for me was just cutting out bread. I have to have some sort of grain but cutting out the bread was a good thing I think. I also cut way back on the caffeine, which was also good, and the sugar consumption. I didn't lose any weight but that is typical for me and I didn't go cold turkey on anything because that backfires big time for me as well. Great job, Mel!
