Work day and home to a good hot meal of chicken tenders, peas, potatoes and fresh fruit salad...and a nap. The lambs are grazing well so I left them outside the front yard on a good patch of green for awhile. Mom has dubbed them "Jack and Jill"...cleverly following this season's nursery rhyme theme...and Spot's daughter, Star , has delivered a lovely spotted ewe lamb this afternoon. The ponies have been obedient this evening...happily anticipating their dinner.
We had two cakes at work today...while I did have pieces of each.. I was intrigued at how neither one seemed to satisfy the taste buds just having one in crisco and sugar...eyecatching but far from living up to anything but eye candy.
The lady I gave a ewe lamb to for her daughters informed me that the lamb now had pink hooves which the girls painted while lulling her to sleep with a good brushing. From the phone videos I can see that they are enjoying and socializing her well.

Thanks for your kind comments. Star is an excellent mother. Jack and Jill are grazing easily on lush green grasses and Jack will nibble on hay...Jill is a little more discrete...and I have lengthened the time 'tween bottles to 7-8 hours except when it falls in the middle of my sleep cycle...then I feed them early to allow me more undisturbed sleep. Mae and Patches are remaining to deliver...Patch does great unless she triples and that's just because she just has two spiggots...the weak lamb would lose out...and Mae usually does well but has refused one twin in the past...the notorious..."Monkey Wrench"...aka Snowball...Mom said she was too pretty to called Monkey...and when she developed a B vitamen deficiency and siezured I thought of her more as a Snowball's chance in Hell...but after a week of research I discovered the cause...shotgunned her with B complex and she sprang from near death to up and running...nowadays more a Butterball than a Snowball with her proclivity to get into any hay fencing due to her stunted size and large Anyway...getting back on track which helps substantially with my routine and weight loss....stress is just not helpfull to maintaining focus on the prize.

I hope Star is a good mother, so you wont have another bottle to warm. Are Jack and Jill getting the hang of feeding said they were grazing. I hope this means no more interrupted sleep???
