Trips to the Park!
Friday, March 29, 2013
Since the weather was fabulous yesterday and today Elijah and I walked to the park both days. We walked home from the park and my mom surprised us by coming to get us today. I am over my goal minutes and calories. It was nice to be out in the fresh air. I have to laugh at Elijah tho (not in a bad way of course). He has an Imagination Movers book bag and he decided to take it with him yesterday to the park with us and he wanted to bring some of his construction vehicles to the park to play with the sand. So I had packed two of the three in his book bag and the third with his shovel in the bag I got from the hospital when he was born along with our drink. He carried his book bag all the way to the park and all the way home from the park without one complaint (I am so proud of him). It was just so funny watching him walk with his book bag. I ended up putting all three of his construction vehicles in his bag so I could put my hoodie in my bag. His bag wasn't very heavy at all. He decided to take his book bag with his construction vehicles and his shovel to the park again today and he carried it all the way to the park again and from the field where we were flying kites with a couple of people to my mom's car. The people who had the kites had two kites. I was telling them that I was going to get him his own kite and asking them where they got theirs and they said it had been a couple of years and didn't remember. They had a butterfly kite and a Nemo kite and they gave us the Nemo kite. The only thing we need is some string. I have crochet thread and we can go to the dollar store and get a handle and a clasp. It was so thoughtful of them to give us the kite. The trips to the park were pretty good. The time went by fast. We left the park at 3:30 yesterday because we had to go home and fill my mom's Easter eggs and put them in the basket that I crocheted for her. Just waiting on something from my sister to put in my mom's basket. We are surprising her on Sunday with the basket and Elijah isn't getting the whole keeping a secret concept. He gets so excited. While we were at the dollar tree today him and mom picked something out for me and he wanted to tell me what it was but it's a surprise. We stayed a while at the park today.
