Day 48 - Fat Girl Running

Today was the end of Couch to 5k week 1. I am so proud of myself for getting in all three runs this week!

I used my Garmin for an outdoor run for the first time in a looong time! I've realized that I go so much faster outside compared to the treadmill (even with hills).

Was my running pace great? not really. Am I still proud of it? YES!!! It's better than I had been doing last year. Besides -- it can only get better from here. I can't wait for week 2! I will probably need to slow my pace for the longer running intervals... that's okay. As long as I get a good workout out of each session, that's what it's all about.

    Great progress! Those SP 5k challenge teams, with their training commitment plans really help to keep me moving. Glad this program is helping you see the changes in your health.

    Way to go. i need to restart the Couch to 5 K. I did it last spring and really did so much better. I am just feeling like I am coming out of winter hibernation now. You are doing great!!

I'm re-starting C25k again. lol last time I did it I got to week 3 lol. Hopefully I'll get further. I don't have a treadmill, so I'm ruled by the weather.

    Way to go girl! Running is hard and believe me, it gets much easier as you do it more! I just realized that its not about speed so you are doing great! i've been running for almost a year now & I still need to take walking breaks in between! no worries!
