Sparkies I have just got out of a well deserved shower and sit here with wet hair after my Saturday Zumba session. My dear Zumba teacher, Alison, runs classes right through the holidays, so we aren't stopping for Easter, no, no, no!
I usually go to the 8-9am toning session on Saturdays, unless I can't get out of bed in time, then I go to the cardio session starting 9am.
As a holiday treat, Alison offered the 8amers the opportunity to do the 9 am session for free if we wanted to give it a go.
One of my goals for this year is to work up to being able to do two sessions back to back, and I planned to work up to it maybe starting the middle of the year.
But this morning I thought, here's my chance to try out an extended session. I'll just keep going for as long as I feel like it, then slip away. I even asked for a belly dancing song earlier in the piece because I didn't expect to be there for the whole session, and the belly dancing routines are my favorites.
Guess what? I sit here, feeling fantastic, after my very first two hour session of Zumba. I kept going, I kept up, and afterwards I went all the way up the 106 steps to the house without stopping.
I think I must have been walking on air.
