Spring Cleaning!

Friday, March 29, 2013

I've finally tackled the bedroom closet! It is now empty, waiting for my dust-induced asthma attack to subside so I can vacuum it and scrub it down.
By the way, does anyone have a tip for getting dried jelly off kitchen drawers and shelves (wood)?
I'm really proud of myself; a year and a half ago I could have appeared on an episode of Hoarders. Now, most of the apartment is presentable, I just have to finish up the bedroom. By summer, everything should be nice and organized, and that should coincide with my weight loss goal.
I think cleaning is exercise. I'm already tired!

    great job!

I usually use a butter knife to scrap off jelly, or a razor blade if its REALLY stuck on. I got the tip from my husband who worked in the food industry for awhile.

Way to go -- sounds like you are making great progress on that closet. I'm not sure sure about the jelly -- but you could try using an iron on top of an old towel over the jelly spots to warm it up so you can peel it off. (Tried that with wax on a cloth couch once, but be careful not to make it too hot.)
Cute cockateal (sp?)
