I found a great article in a health news letter I get...Nutrition Action...it is really a good down to earth health news letter....the main article is called "fooled by Food"...it was about a book written by Brian Wansink..book is called Slim by Design-----
he is the author of the book Mindless Eating_why we eat more than we think....

If you get a chance to read this new book, not sure it's out yet ..it hold lots of interesting observation on food, from the amount, the choices we make and why we make them....
one short test that stuck me was people ate more crackers after seeing a box showing more crackers than after seeing a box with fewer.....the cracker makers did experiment to see what box designs get us to eat more.....

one more..... people given a big bucket of stale popcorn ate 34 percent more popcorn than people given a small box of popcorn that was not stale.....

there are so many reasons we eat more than we think....we are visual people and that plays a big part of eating....
any way things I thought were very interesting about why people eat more than they think, it's more than just no will power....
