Went over my calorie limit ...

Friday, March 29, 2013

But it was fun!!!
Hubby and I had about a weeks worth of errands to do that we crammed into one day.
Took his truck in for some major overhaul work.
Had an appointment with a mortgage person.
Had an appointment with our financial guy.
Had to decide on flooring, counter tops, appliances, lights.
Look for fruit and nut trees to replace the 3 trees we had cut down.
Had to talk to our bank.
Check on his mom.
Get new clothes.
And then a trip to Best Buy for fun!

So lunch was at this deli called McAlister's Deli. They have wonderful bake potatoes. But instead of one of your normal restaurant size bake potato it's two of them. They cut one end off and put them together .... So they are HUGE!! I got a Black Angus Roast Beef Spud. It was so good. Black Angus roast beef, cheddar-jack cheese, caramelized onions and Au Jus. I was really proud of my self .... till I got home and look up the calories ...... 920. 26 grams of fat. 15 g saturated fat. 1620 mg sodium. But the up side is I only ate half there and brought the other half home for supper.

Then around 4 we go get dessert. ..... I was very disappointed. A couple of weeks ago hubby and I went to Red Robin and decided that we would one day go back for just their dessert. They have a Mile high mudd pie that looked delish. You see that word "LOOKED?" ..... Yeah it wasn't. Well we got two desserts and had half of each. I got this baked apples with a butter cake cookie thing and vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce. The butter cake cookie thing was the best. How sad is that? The mudd pie was freezer burned ice cream on an freezer flavor Oreo cookie ice cream pie. A Subway cookie would have been better, or even just Baskin Robins ice cream. The calories for the mudd pie ... 1368. Fat 61 grams. Sodium 580 mg. Sugars 135 grams. They didn't have the nutrition for the apple thing that I got, so there not much telling how many that had.

But all in all we had a good day. Got a lot of things taken care of. So now when the work on the kitchen starts we have everything decided so even if he is off in another state, I still know what we had decided on. He says that he doesn't care what I pick, but I know he's lying. Cause I want radiant in floor heat and he doesn't.

Not sure what today's plans are. I know he has a few things he needs to do, maybe I will got with, maybe I will stay home and clean. It's still early, my brain doesn't fully come awake till 10, so I don't have to decide anything just yet. lol! Well that's all of the rattling that I have for today. I hope you have a wonderful sun shiny day!
~ we got clouds and rain and more clouds ~ BUT THE BIRDS ARE SINGING!!

Wow, you had a productive day!

Sorry the desserts weren't as good as they looked. But at least now you know!

I wouldn't have thought that baked potato you had was almost 1,000 calories. Shows how much I know. emoticon

That certainly was a busy day Becky! Doesn't it feel good to get a lot done and out of the way? Sounds like your kitchen is going to be fantastic! The radiant in floor heat is especially good in the winter time. We don't have it but it sounds great. I hope you have a great day - whatever you decide to do!

Sounds like you both really had a full day, but fun! Especially eating, right!
We all have to have one of those days from time to time.

Enjoy the birds singing! ONe lady said when a storm was on the horizon she saw and heard a red bird singing who had no care in the world.
