Long Lazy Weekend

Friday, March 29, 2013

Good Friday is a stat holiday: we've closed our office for Easter Monday too . . . and neither of us is planning to go into work OR to work from home.

We've been working hard. Flat out.

A loooooooong weekend. A lazy weekend. And how best to spend it?

Too warm to ski: last weekend was the last weekend for that.

Too cool to golf: there's still a bit of snow.

So: what will it be? I started off with Belgian chocolate coffee and a toasted hot cross bun. Buttered. (Lightly!)

A walk in the woods with Charlie? He'd like that!

The coffee sounds wonderful. I can't eat the hot cross buns because of my celiac disease, but I plan to buy some for my husband tomorrow. I meant to do it today, but I forgot!

Here, nothing's closed today. Most state offices aren't open on Saturday anyway so they'll have tomorrow and Sunday off for Easter. Nothing is closed Monday. emoticon

Yup - almost everything is closed here in Perth, but a few buses and trains are running - so we walked along the Esplanade and enjoyed the sunset. Managed to get in 6 miles while we were at it!

Doesn't it feel delicious at the start of a looonnnnng weekend where nothing pressing is planned? Where multiple days stretch out before you with endless possibilities?

Ah, yes!

I know you will find myriad ways to renew and refresh, to savor and appreciate, and then be ready to get back to your "regularly-scheduled life" on Tuesday!
