We're back from 4 days of travelling with the DD and DGD. Trying to accommodate everyone's taste and preferences is tough. I stayed within my limits but did not always have as many choices as I would at home. My plastic baggies of veggies were a life saver. One afternoon I emptied a whole bag! Motel breakfast bars are getting much better - the very least had apples and bananas. Hampton Inns are doing a beautiful fruit salad and even had turkey sausage. One morning I had oatmeal (not out of a packet!) with raisins and almond slivers - very good.
