The Chocolate Monster, the elliptical and the scale

Friday, March 29, 2013

Last time I blogged I was pretty depressed. I had gained 3 lbs while at my niece's house and I just did not seem to be able to get back "into the groove". I have not weighed myself since last week because of the 3lb gain!

Last night, after dinner, the Chocolate Monster came for a visit. He hasn't been here in a long time but last night he was here. He attacked me from behind my left flank. I never saw it coming. Before I knew it, he has STUFFED!! a Cadbury cream egg and a small chocolate sundae (3/4 C frozen yogurt, 2 TBS hershey's chocolate syrup, and 2 TBS whipped cream) down my throat. Beware! He is a sneaky little bastard! I fought with all my might but it was no use. Afterward, I did the only thing I could do -- I got on the elliptical for 1 hour. This morning I got on the scale and am happy to report that the 3lbs are gone! No "real" loss - I am back where I started and I am thrilled with that!

Until later.... emoticon

Good for you! I have been attacked that way myself many times. Way to go on regrouping.

Love your sense of humor!

Hahaha... you meet him strategically though b/c you MEASURED all your sweets to track! lol
I'm so glad for you that you lost those 3 lbs. That's a LOT in a week. And I'm willing to bet you wouldn't trade the visit with your niece for the blip on the scale anyway.
