Day 16

Friday, March 29, 2013

20 minutes exercise
1243 calories
11 water
7 fruits and veggies

Only 20 minutes yard work yesterday, as I did not want to push my back pain. I did do some end of the week cleaning (trash day is Friday, so I gather all newspapers, junk mail, bath trash, etc., as well as thorough cleaning of litter boxes--scoop & refresh thru the week, dump and clean on Thursday).

So, the job that I interviewed for last Tuesday fell through. That's ok, because yesterday I got a call from my friend who manages the local office of a home health agency. They have 3 offices in 3 counties. She has a position that she is going to train me for in the office. It is actually doing the scheduling for one of the other county offices, but I will be primarily working in my town with about 10% travel. I will be taking care of office business too for the local office when she goes out marketing. It will be a great fit for me.

Today I will be going for orientation, then Monday I will get my fingerprinting done and start that day. I will continue to work my Saturdays and Sundays at the nursing home until I feel comfortable with the new job. I really don't want to leave that job, as I have been building relationships with the residents. But I am going to have to make time for me and hubby, and that dictates me leaving the weekend job. emoticon So I guess, I will just have to learn to make time to go visit the nursing home on my time off.

9 am begins my new adventure... Hubby is going to Toledo today with his father to the pre-op clinic. They will be leaving in about 20 minutes. Then off to the treadmill for me to get my walking in this morning before I have to get ready to leave. The excitement begins.....
