Difficult Day

Friday, March 29, 2013

It really has been a difficult week. Holy Week is one of my favorite times to reconnect with God through fasting and meditating. This year has been a bit challenging. My friend lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday morning. It was a long and painful battle. I am thankful she can finally rest in our Lord. But my heart remains broken to lose such a wonderful person. It has been hard to maintain my fast/meditations.

Today is her funeral and I am not looking forward to it. But who really likes going to funerals anyway....

Today I ask my spark friends for prayers as I face this day filled with spiritual and emotional challenges.

I TOO LOST A FRIEND TO CANCER THIS WEEK. BUT HER FAMILY HAD HER CREMATED AND ARE NOT PLANNING A MEMORIAL SERVICE. SO WE CAN'T EVEN SAY GOODBYE TO HER. IT SEEMS STRANGE TO ME BUT IT MAY BE ALL THEY CAN AFFORD.
