Lately I've been thinking about using protein powder. I barely get enough protein now, and that usually means drinking 3 or so cups of milk a day. Granted I love milk, but even with all that, I barely meet my protein goals.
So I've been thinking about using protein powder to get some more protein into my system. The problem is, I don't know where to start with what kinds are good, the best brands, healthiest ones, and so on. I haven't a clue on which kinds I should try out first.

I struggle with getting enough protein, too. I've started making protein bars that include protein powder. I want to use more for the next batch to really make a difference. Good success to you.

there are other sources of protein other than meat or dairy. try nuts or beans. more fiber there also, helps with feeling full.

I am happy with Pure Protein chocolate powder. I mix it with a cup of fat free milk. It's 220 calories but with the powder and milk it gives you 31 grams of protein and that is about half of what I need a day. I used to have a lot of trouble getting enough protein because I don't eat a lot of meat. I don't care for meat much. By my calculations you would have to drink 7.5 eight oz. glasses of milk a day to get 60 mg. But when I start out with 31 grams with the shake it hasn't been too hard to get the other 29. Hope this helps. MaryAnn emoticon
