Yesterday I ran according to my training plan. After a half mile walk and an easy warm up mile run, I was to run at 9 minute per mile pace, three one-mile repeats. I made the first mile in 8:47 which is probably my fastest ever; definitely the fastest mile I ever timed. The next mile I came in at 8:59 and the mile after that it was 9:01, so I was very close to accomplishing the assignment. Then I ran an easy mile (10:45 pace) home followed by a little more walk, some stretching, and the foam roller. Think I'm making progress!
