Morning Warmth

One of the benefits of having to drive into work at 4-something AM this week is that I got to feel how it's not very cold right now... .That means I even entertained the thought of running in the morning again.

How awesome would that be?

For dinner I sauteed some kale and mixed a little pre-made Trader Joe lentils with a no-sodium fresh salsa and served myself a big plate with a couple tablespoons of guacamole and a serving of flax corn tortilla chips. 12+g of protein included in this deliciousness.

Since I'm not used to eating this way anymore, my body is trying to trick me into thinking I need to feel fuller instead of being satisfied. The strange thing is that just being satisfied with healthy food was normal to me for so long. I wonder how long this weirdness will last.

    emoticon I am amazed at how quickly our bodys can adapt to Healthy Eating. Hopefully the Weirdness passes quickly.

    There is something about the very early morning.

I used to get up VERY early one summer when I worked on the Biden Senate campaign (1984). Saw deer all the time, and mists rising from the pavement. It is a special time. Seize it.

    My mind seems set on thinking I need to eat until my stomach is bulging and I don't feel satisfied unless I am pretty uncomfortable. The problem is, when I try to eat less I end up in pain because of a suspected ulcer. I need to just cut down a little at a time and maybe my stomach won't notice.
