Day 3.28 Calming down

So, after my mini freak-out about logging and cals and eating and such, I've come back down to normal. After talking about it more in-depth with my trainer today, I'm simply going to focus on one main thing at a time (though I'm free to try and adjust other things if I want/feel ready to). The next couple of weeks--eat breakfast. Nice and simple. As much as I want, strong preference to whole food-type things (oats are good), some protein. The key is to do it every day. I'm very hit and miss with my eating, which leads to a lot of spikes and crashes--encouraging my body to store fat with all the insulin spikes. I think the basic idea is to turn me from an efficient fat-storage unit to a very efficient energy burning unit. In a nutshell. :) Oh, nuts are good too. :)
I've also gotten over my mini-crush on my trainer. :D I still appreciate a fine physique, but in a purely aesthetically pleasing way. :) Love those hormones. Heheh. In all seriousness, he's a very cool dude. A little convoluted with the details of nutritional stuff at times, but I like learning this stuff, so it appeals to me. I just really like that he works with an individual person's specific needs/wants/what have you.
DH was a little surprised that I'm still hiring a trainer--the initial plan was to have him teach me some stuff and then go about my way. Funny--turns out I actually LIKE having someone to interact with from time to time when working out. So, it's my little gift to myself--keeps me motivated, focused, and the bonus is I'm even learning a whole new take on the eating/nutrition angle. Maybe this one will even work for me. :)
3 days off this weekend! And not a clue what to do lol. The weather is lovely so far--but not nice enough to go hiking in the mountains yet (snow in them thar hills). I might convince hubby to tramp thru the coulees with me. Though I did hear that one of the golf courses was open.....:D
I will get to 150 on the scale yet....hopefully before summer.
