I don't mind planning my meals and eating healthy because I know the benefits. I don't mind giving up sweet snacks and grabbing a vegetable instead, or even a piece of fruit because I know that it is beneficial for me. What I do mind is worrying about whether or not I'm consuming enough nutrients, keeping track of the different types of foods I should eat and learning that the things I am consuming may not be good choices. Apparently some fruits should be avoided because of the sugar content...phooey, and eating spinach can cause kidney stones...what!! I mean I have cut down on my sugar intake, quite a bit, now I need to watch the type of fruits and veggies I eat as well. It is starting to feel more like a chore and it is very discouraging sometimes. So, it looks like I will be making more changes...adding quinoa to my diet since it is high in protein but not a meat source, mixing up my veggies a bit more and eating something else aside from mixed green salad with romaine lettuce and spinach. I am going to figure this thing out. I guess this is what is called "dialing it in". Grrr.
