Week 1 Day 1

Well, I didnt die on the side of the trail so I guess that is a successful "run". Today was my first day trying the Couch to 5k program. I have never been a runner in my life. I used to say if you see me running, you best call the police because someone must be chasing me! I decided to give this a whirl to add something new to my life. With my kids all but grown, I have a lot of time on my hands that I need to occupy. I figure if I can run a 5k, I could sign up for them on the weekends when I have extra time. After today, I am a little worried that I wont be able to do it seeing as I was huffing and puffing something fierce after today but I will push forward. If it takes me longer than 9 weeks so be it. I am trying to be patient with myself. I hope I dont quit on myself.

    If you can build up to walking for 45 min to an hour, you can finish a 5K.
