New day, new numbers

I did some awesome stuffs today...had my annual exam and am scheduled for my mammo and also had a followup with my diabetic doc. My A1c has come down from 6.8 to 6.6 without medication, but I am going to restart Victoza this week because it had helped in the past with satiety. I got a new meter and test strips as well so I can check regularly again (another habit I left by the wayside a while ago).
I walked quite a bit from appointment to appointment, climbed up to the 3rd floor, and also power walked during my grocery shopping.
Lastly, I found out my weight is down 2 more pounds...and that I've lost nearly 19 pounds since last July...way before I started formally with my new lifestyle plan.
I was very happy with all the progress and results I got today. I got to see my daughter for a little while today so she could pick up ingredients to make her dishes for Easter. I'm planning on making her and her friend Easter baskets this year, even though they're 21 and I haven't done it in a long time. I just feel in a gifty mood.
I'm also meeting with a high school friend I haven't seen in 25 years for breakfast tomorrow morning and plan on having a great time.
I really cannot say enough about how much SparkPeople has helped me this first month of my new lifestyle. I'm feeling better with my little successes and don't feel the setbacks as hard as I used to...because I know I can move on and everything will be OK.
My daughter and I at Christmas...need to update this soon!
