Wow..That MADE My Night!

Thursday, March 28, 2013

My night was absolutely MADE by two random strangers. We went to my oldest son's school fair tonight. 2 cute little 15-16 year old little girls came up to me and said "Ok, I know this sounds really weird but we were just saying how pretty you are!" "We were just sitting here and we're like, oh my gosh, she is so pretty" I was kind of shocked, not really sure what to say to them. I was like, "um...Thank you?" "That's really, wow, thank you, that's so sweet." I have never had anything like that happen to me, so bizarre but again completely made my night. I actually thought they were coming up to me to tell me how cute my youngest son is, because I get that one a lot.

This just made me feel really good. An hour before I was looking in the mirror and beating myself up. I was very unhappy at what I was seeing and how I was feeling. I put on 3-4 different outfits before giving up. So to have these lovely girls tell me this, when I was feeling quite the opposite, really warmed my heart. Even if they were just being nice, to be nice..I really appreciated it. :)

At that age, they're really into looking at clothes with a tough eye and I think that they were innocently telling you the truth....what they thought!! It's nice and sweet.
