I went to the Dr with no ear ache and now it is really aching.

Thursday, March 28, 2013

I made an appointment's for a specialist to check out my ear. They said it was in the inner ear but they knew the Eustachian tube was not working right but they decided it was my TM Joint and have referred me to a dentist. we were there almost three hours they did tests and found a problem but in the absence of pain they did nothing else just referred me to someone else.

We drove home and my ear was hurting and now it is really bad so I am taking some ibuprofen and off to bed.

I will catch you all tomorrow after my class. Goodnight Pat in Maine.

Sorry about your earache. I had one the other day and it was related to my sinuses.
Hope they can figure it out so you don't suffer too many.

I hate to go to the doctor for this reason. I often go and end up catching a virus or having something irritated. Maybe they got some fluid in your ear. I often have to use swimmer's ear products or peroxide for ear wax. I hope you feel better soon.

Good luck with this. I've gone full circle several times with this. TMJ set in after having wisdom tooth cut out and jaw knocked out of joint during the procedure. Customized dental splint at night very helpful for a long time but when I added a Bi-PAP machine into the mix a few years ago, the TMJ flared again. GP sent to eye/ear/nose/throat specialist that sent me to dentist that suggested I wear dental splint 24/7, except when eating and suggested eye/ear/nose/throat specialist . I've tried meditation tapes for this condition with little success. Take care of you - keep searching for a solution.

Pat, sorry to hear of your pain. Especially them not taking care of it. Have you ever tried warming a clove of garlic and putting that in your ear over night? Not sure what your problem is but I heard this will take "poisons" out of the ear. When ever my daughter has trouble with her ears this is what she uses. HUGS, Terry
