A girl could get used to these relaxing days pretty easily! We were able to sleep in for the fourth morning in a row and had nowhere we had to be for the entire day as I canceled Isaac's group therapy due to his cold. We had a leisurely breakfast, got our schoolwork accomplished (math was rough with Isaac today), I put dinner in the crockpot and then made pancakes for lunch. Afterwards I headed to the gym and got a solid 45 minutes done. Then I ran errands on the way home (flours from the nutrition store, dropped off some mail and library books and bought one dozen white eggs for dying tomorrow). Got some emails done while the eggs were cooking and then headed out to the barnyard to see the last of the new baby goats that had just been born. Annabelle surprised us with triplets, but we aren't sure if the first one (Isaiah) will survive. It's four hours later and he just now stood up and is nursing so we're hoping. From what Isaac could tell us it sounds like she was having difficulties and he was able to help pull it out once the head and one front leg were out. She dropped the next two very quickly which is odd too. I got to name the brown one and he is now Daniel. The other white one is named Ezekiel.

This is a photo of the kiddos with Job.

Played several rounds of Uno Spin with Maegann while waiting on supper and now I'm free to Spark. I also need to get treasure hunt clues figured out tonight so I can make the clues tomorrow and have that ready for Sunday morning.

Supper was an experiment and it was okay. Didn't have enough flavor for everyone except Maegann. She always likes the ones nobody else cares for as much! LOL It was made with great northern beans, sliced carrots and celery, chopped onion, italian dressing and water and chicken breast. I am going to use the leftover broth/veggies to add rice to and make a casserole of some sort this weekend.

Tomorrow: Easter party at 11:30 at our "party girl's" place. She is on the leadership team and is a wonderful hostess! Will be a lot of fun for everyone. I'll take pictures! We also have our friend Jenn coming in the evening for supper (bbq'g burgers) and to decorate Easter eggs.

BL Challenge - Team Emerald

Today was our second weigh-in and I brought in a nice fat zero. Better than a gain, but I sure wanted last weeks gain to show as a loss this week. Oh well.

For week three we are challenged to get moving more than usual when we are doing activities where we're seated. Do something during commercial breaks or set a timer and then do something for a minute. Goal is 6x/day to add extra fitness with an additional bonus if we do all 7 days.

Gym Time Challenge

I've done well with this one for my first week out trying to step it up! I have made it to the gym three times and have extended my time from 30-45 minutes as well as increasing the treadmill intensity two out of those three days. I took it a little easier today as my left leg was bothering me too much on the hills. I plan to find some time to go again on Saturday, but it won't be first thing in the morning as I am going to volunteer at Bountiful Baskets.

So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Trust in Him. What effect is your life having on others? If you place your trust in God, and let His love shine through you, you can make positive impact on the lives of many.

I remember when my son Bryan's goat had triplets the smallest one almost didn't survive since her front legs were contracted from being crowded in the womb. The vet pulled the legs and cast them so they would be straight. Bryan and I bottle fed the littlest one for a while, and eventually she was strong enough to nurse from her mom.
