Recovery Time

I have had lots of pain with my left hip which I just realized is because my left side is so much tighter and inflexible than my right side.

so it was hurting and hurting and I had 2 days with more rest and it feels sooo much better now.

I am thinking this might be my body's way of telling me to REST more and get in more recovery time.

so from now on i want to have 2 days with VERY light exercise. and lots of more rest

    bc i work out hard, i do yoga...it helps alot. it stretches out the whole body and it relaxes me some. i do three days of weights and 4 days of cardio and one day yoga. if you can give it a try. it took me a while to adjust to the slow movement in yoga and learning to concentrate in the class...but it's worth it now. :)

    I just read the article on doing yoga - hip stretches. Great article. I was waking up in the middle of the night with screaming pain in my hips. Starting to do the yoga, feeling much better. Best wishes, hope you can get some relief.

    Or maybe just change up what you do each day. I had trouble with my hip (piriformis syndrome), and learned that two running days in a row killed me. But, I can rollerblade the second day with no problem. AND stretching really, really helps. I also sleep with a pillow under my knees now and that also makes a difference.
Good luck; hope you can keep up your workouts with less pain.
