Last year, my state passed a law late in the school year about the requirements of the school calendar. As a result, my school system changed our spring break from the second week of March to the last week of March. This would have been fine except that I had already purchased (along with 16 family members) a disney cruise for our originally scheduled spring break. I immediately went to our principal and asked what I should do and he suggested two spring breaks!
So our first spring break was two weeks ago when we went on the disney cruise. This week is our second spring break. After spending a couple of days at home, we packed up my van and kids and came to my sister's house, just 3 hours away, for a few days in a different environment. I am still recovering from my disease, so we don't have any big plans, but we are enjoying being in a new house and playing with my sister's dog.
The best news is that I have gotten back on track with diet! I am still not able to exercise due to sickness and upcoming cardiologist appt, but I am happy to be tracking my food, eating in my calorie range and removing the sugar/flour from my diet. After 3 weeks on travel (and off plan), it feels good to be back!
