Assignment: Week 7, Day 1 of C25K Training
Steps: 5 min. of warm up, 25 min. run, 5 min. cool down
As my feet hit the pavement, I relaxed my body. I relaxed my shoulders. I relaxed my hands. I internally and externally released all tension. I released all negativity, and transmitted "I know I can" into the atmosphere.
My focus was on putting one foot in front of the other. Breathe in through my nose, out through my mouth. RELAX. RUN. RUN. RUN.
With my hip-hop/pop playlist providing fast-paced tunes to keep me going...the going got tough. When the tough got going....I had motivation back-up.
Back-up Plan: Positive Affirmations
What we think about, we bring about. I am who I say I am (and who God says I am).
Nothing more, nothing less. Everyone's opinion/judgement is a reflection of them, NOT me.
My mother's Survivor
My sister's Keeper
My brother's Advocate
My father's Intercessor
BEAUTIFUL (not at goal weight, but NOW)
(Just to name a few)
And as my permanent reminder, my tattoo on my left shoulder blade states, I AM:
BLESSED, HARDY, RESILIENT, ROBUST, and FAITHFUL.
Although, I had some walking spurts within the 25 minutes, I completed my training day.
I AM a RUNNER ;) 6 weeks, 1 Day Down, 2 weeks to go.
Who are YOU?
