Day 86 Better than expected dr appt!

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Surprise--in spite of a month of not so great eating, my bloodwork looked good. This doctor's scale showed two pounds less than the one I saw Monday. Was I wearing two more pounds of clothes??? Are all doctors' office scales made so as to give you the highest numbers possible??? Whatever, I don't care; I'll continue using my home scale as my standard because it's what I use all time. Whether it's spot-on accurate doesn't matter to me as much as seeing it move in the right direction.

Within cal range again even with a chocolate chip muffin and coffee. I ate half to make it a reasonable portion and took a walk through the little downtown near my doctor's office.

This Floridian is enjoying winter's last gasp; it'll be hot all too soon. emoticon

I believe that the scales at the DR offices are rigged. I just go by my home scale too. Enjoy your weather!

Great job on improving your health!

And yeah, clothes can weigh a LOT. I use a medical balance scale (like at the doctor's) and my jeans weigh 1 pound, athletic shoes 1/2 pound, and work boots a whopping 2 1/2 pounds! I think it's silly of the nurses to weigh us BEFORE we have to take off our clothes - after all, they are going to make us wear that stupid paper gown anyway!
