I realized something today...I have been putting some pretty bad stuff in my body with the way I was eating before I started SP.
I was out with my family and my two year old became hungry. Normally I bring snacks with me to give to him but I I forgot. So we stopped at a fast food place to grab him a nugget kids meal. I was going to eat one nugget for myself. However since I started SP I have documented everything I have eaten. So I looked at the nutrition on the box and I was shocked at what I saw. One serving (two nuggets) had 460 calories and 1000 sodium. Lets just say that my son only finished the one he had in his hand and that was it. A kids meal has four nuggets so that is 920 calories and 2000 sodium. The fat was horrible too. That doesn't include the fries. Then I started thinking about all I would eat at fast food places and I don't want to know about how unhealthy I was eating my whole life. I have already started to cook homemade staying away from processed food. Now I have to find ways to bring healthy food for everyone in the family while we are out and about. It won't be easy but I know it is possible it will just take some work.
Can't wait to research and find healthy good tasting alternative.
