Struggling over, Spring has sprung

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Just over two months ago everything was going so smoothly and then I had "house guests" for 6 weeks and suffered through their problems with them. It took a lot out of me when my lifestyle was disrupted, and I've spent the past month trying to get my life back on track. Of course, I gained a few pounds back (only about 6 in as many weeks), so that's not so bad, but still a setback. But today I decided to get my act together again and regain my healthy state of mind, body and spirit.
Look out world, and all those who would hinder me. I'm not only writing in my food tracker, but keeping a diet journal besides. I'm scoring points for my good choices and setting a goal to be in the terrific two's by my birthday in June. I took a SPARK QUIZ today to see how prepared and willing I am to reach my goals. As I took the quiz, I realized my attitude was not top notch and raring to go! Boo to that emoticonand to the winter doldrums. Keep the snow emoticon and let the emoticon shine again!
It's Spring, the sun is shining and time to get energetic again. Less calories, less weight, and more freedom! emoticon time to blast off!

Funny how spring changes so much about your excitement for a new day. You sound ready to me. I think 6 pounds gain in a whole 6 weeks, means you were watching what you ate.

You can do it - and you are right 6 pounds in 6 weeks is definitely not as bad as it once MIGHT have been. You will do great when you get back on track.

You are so right. Life and it's set backs do take a toll on us. I have been there with you. My hospital stay really set me back and I've gained back some pounds too. Together we will get back on track, One Day at a Time, and One Step at a Time. emoticon emoticon emoticon
