More Cleaning...More Work

Yesterday I reveled in an actual weekday off of work. My girls were so excited I could actually pick them up from school...it'd been over 2 weeks since I could do that with working every day. Well, the bosses decided NEXT week was the week they're going to go to Colorado to ski, so there will be another crazy week at my house and then hopefully we'll find some version of normal (for us) again. Did I mention I'm going to start drafting my resignation letter this weekend? NO tears will fall during that task. Praise God that I will be done this spring!

On a very positive note, I got another little area of my bedroom clean yesterday. I was going to work on it on the weekends, but it's felt so good having the dresser and nightstand clean, I couldn't help myself. I had to do a little more right away. Yesterday it was the area right next to my bed, in front of my nightstand. It had become a big mess of papers and books (and lots of miscellaneous stuff). I got it completely cleared and vacuumed yesterday! I did it by setting the timer for 15 minutes 2 different times...once in the morning and once in the afternoon and VIOLA! Now, I have another little clean space in my room! YAY! That's another big reason to praise God. It REALLY puts me in such a better frame of mind when things are more clean and organized.

I noticed that, though this week is better, I'm still not where I'd like to be with exercise minutes and my diet. I know it will be better when I'm not working so much, but I don't want to wait. Lord, please help me to make better choices now with food and fit the exercise in no matter what.

    I SO know what you mean about the cleaning. I love the 15 minutes at a time. I usually go an hour for every 15 minutes I set up!!

    As Dawn said there are desk exercises. leg lifts and arm circles are my two favorites...

    There are a lot of exercises that you can fit in as you are sitting at a desk. Chair marching is just one of them. If you want some ideas, just let me know. You're doing great! I hope that next week isn't too stressful to you. Just remember that you'll soon be able to be home all the time. It will be worth it. emoticon
