Proud Mom

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Today my son did a presentation to a group of High School students who were just finished touring the Trauma Unit. You see, my son is a survivor and now he shares his story with others in hopes to help someone realize that we are all different. To accept people and to give them a chance. My son is now 18 and today he made everyone there laugh and one girl cry. We used a lot of humour throughout his recovery. I was also very proud to be up there with him (I took care of the hard part - the the powerpoint presentation). Sometimes I cry but today I was strong and proud. emoticon

But back on topic: emoticon
My exercise was walking 15 minutes to the hospital and then back to my car. Wow! I even took the stairs instead of the elevator (1 floor up)!! ;-)

Awesome! It takes a lot of strength and courage to get up in front of people...especially high school students!

emoticon on the walking and taking the stairs! emoticon
