My Journey and My Matzo

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Morning SparkBuddies,

As much as I love the weekends, I also dislike them greatly. There are weekends when I’m right on schedule with everything and then there are weekends (like this past one, however awesome it was), where my eating/water schedule goes right out the window.
Nobody’s perfect right?

I haven’t been eating as well as I’d like, but have been tracking either way. I’ve also been exercising pretty consistently and do my best to get at least 30 minutes a day. I didn’t go to work yesterday, so I was able to get 45 minutes in at 4mph, but today I definitely won’t be able to get any exercise in because of my musical theatre class tonight. Our call time is 6pm and since I get off work around 4pm (and don’t get home to almost 5pm) exercise just won’t be possible until after class. Tonight is kind of our final where we get to perform for our friends/family/industry professionals which is always fun. We’ve got a decent show and some very good singers. We did a run through of the show and found out that it was only an hour which is fabulous! If we do indeed go under an hour, I’ll definitely have time to exercise. All in all, it should be a good night.

Since Monday afternoon I’ve been pretty down in the dumps, same old Depression symptoms kicking in. I’m doing my best to combat it, and honestly I think I just need a bit of time to myself. A friend of mine is in a production of Dreamgirls, so I think I may do that Friday since some other friends are going as well. I also may be going to Disneyland this Saturday to cheer me up, we’ll see.

Overall, I’m trying to stay positive, keep up my nutrition and keep up my water intake. Sometimes I think I may be drinking too much water, so I’m going to begin drinking 3 liters every other day and drink 1.5 on the days in between. Unofficially weighed in today and as I expected, I’m not in my maintenance range yet. I won’t give up.

Thank you all for reading my story and being so supportive, it is definitely appreciated.

Miss B
p.s. I love Matzo, my co-worker gave me a huge square and I’m definitely enjoying it! HA!

emoticon Good evening from here on the Beast Coast, as I call this pathetic place! :) I always get such a charge out of reading your blog entries, Miss B - you are a powerhouse of talent and a real live wire, too! **AND YOU CAN SING!!** I mean, you can seriously, seriously sing!! Me, I'm lucky if I can croak out two shaky notes from these rather ungifted pipes emoticon Isn't matzo great? You've just got to love those huge sheets of all that toasty, crunchy goodness :) There's the old "purist" kind, very plain, and now they've got it with sesame seeds, onion, salt - you name it! I could eat whole boxes of it - just sit around in the evening and slowly work my way from front to back emoticon Not good for a tiny waistline, although even at 115 lbs. right now, my middle will always resemble more of a "waste-line". There's all that flab, which is only natural after losing 70 lbs. at age 59. Sending you a big, virtual hug and a big thank-you for keeping us posted on your personal and professional progress! emoticon emoticon

We are not perfect no matter what we think at times. There will be good days & a few bad days. Let's just pray the good days outweigh the bad days! emoticon
