It's been two weeks since my last blog and I'm happy to say that I've lost 5 pounds. I don't care if that 5 pounds was water, bloat or fat, I'm just happy to see the scale move in the right direction. It gives me hope that all this effort is working.
I've been to the gym at least 3 times a week since then.
I've been working on a running program but I'm nowhere near where I need to be to run this 5k that is coming up. However, I've been more focused on doing balanced workouts than just running. I've been going to a Body Pump class, I've been doing elliptical, taking my dog for walks... just more well rounded than running, running, running.
I've been watching what I eat and curtailing the snacks. I know I'm eating much better but I haven't been tracking because that just seems to make me go bonkers. It's overwhelming to me right now so I'm just not doing that.
I'm feeling like I'm on the right path lately. I'm feeling good. And I have the next four days off and it's supposed to be in the mid 50s which is just fantastic weather compared to what we have been dealing with. That's perfect walking and running weather!
