Day 13 & 14 (3/25 & 3/26)

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

3/25 Monday:

7 Fruits and veggies
11 cups of water
1368 calories
55 minutes of exercise (40 minutes behind the snow blower and 15 minutes breaking down and shoveling a mound of heavy wet snow)

I didn't have a muscle in my body that didn't hurt. Pushing through the heavy, wet snow with a snow blower by layers is not easy! I was so worked over, as I entered the house, I could feel the heat of my body. My hair was soaked with sweat, even my under layers of clothes were soaked with sweat. I do believe I over dressed for the occasion, lol. Needless to say, I did not feel the need to walk the treadmill.

3/26 Tuesday:
7 Fruits and veggies
11 water
1353 calories
Absolutely no exercise!

I had to take a break for my body's sake. I woke to the nerve pain in my legs from my back. I simply over worked my back with the snow blower. One day of rest, and back to exercising on Wednesday. Too much rest will hinder the recouping of my pain, but was very necessary for the one day.

I had an appointment with my counselor yesterday. Wow, I have been in counseling for 1 year now. Though I have come a long way, I agree that an additional treatment plan was in order. So I will continue until I feel I can handle my emotions and anxiety without the talk therapy.

Yesterday, I also made a decision to try a new doctor's office here in town. I have heard good things, but I am a picky patient. So I have an initial appointment scheduled for the end of April. If I don't like atmosphere and staff there, I will continue with my current doctor in Columbus. I just hate the hour drive there and back, and the cost of fuel to go that far. So wish me luck!

HUGS to the Spark family!!!

Fighting with snow is one of the best forms of endurance strength training. I always feel like I have lifted weights for hours the following couple of days. Drink tons of water and green tea and take time to stretch a couple of times a day until those muscles loosen back up.

Rest days are important! Don't you hurt yourself pushing too hard.

Best of luck with the new doctor. I hope it works out for you.

GOOD for you! You are doing great! I agree about the doctor. In fact, I hear so many horror stories nowadays that I say you can't be TOO cautious of doctors.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, Susana! emoticon

Great job on the tracking of you intake. Good luck with the new doctor, heard this morning that here in Ohio our medical plans could go up in price by 80%. I thought this stuff was going down under Obamacare? Looks like another year without health insurance again.....any way have a great day.... emoticon

Good luck with your new doctor, it's fantastic when you get one who's on your wave length and who you feel you can trust. I hope it works out.
