General Ramblings

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Well, it looks like my time here in my apartment is coming to an end. I will be moving back home to my house and my old life. The job is almost over and maybe I can get my old life back, I will see my friends, spend time with family, get to come home to my puppy every night...and most importantly work out in my old gym. A negative is that my yoga instructor at home decided to end the class I used to go to. I will miss my yoga classes up here!!! The other negative is that I have so become used to urban living and absolutely love being able to walk EVERYWHERE! I can park my car and leave it there for a week at a time depending on where I need to be for work. I walk to the gym, the grocery store (added bonus is I get to carry the bags home...what an arm workout), work, just to sight see or shop at the mall. I can put 2-6 miles of walking in on a daily basis...added bonus I would say!!

I leave for vacation on Thursday..Key Largo here I come. This has been one of the longest, dreariest, gray, cold, wet winter of my life. I am used to heading to Florida in February, I didn't get to go this year so I think that made it longer, there was no break!

I have been on Weight Watchers for two months and have dropped about 10 (I really just wanted to get rid of the last few pounds that I have been fighting for the last few years). I really want to get rid of more than the last few, my goal by 50 is to be where I was when I was 25:-)

I am going away for my 50th. I am going to Napa and Sonoma. Two of my friends were just diagnosed with breast is too short to not live it to the fullest!!! I want to enjoy it while I can!!

I actually ran my 9 miles this past was my long run before the 1/2 marathon in April. I did it in decent time so if I stay healthy and keep on pace I should finish in about 25 minutes less time than my last one. I have two 5k races before the 1/ goal is have better time for those than the last one I ran...I am slow, but I don't care. I run MY race, no one else's race. I am competitive but mostly with myself not others.

Well, I rambled enough for the night!!! Thanks for listening!!
